CQL Produces Two New Valuable Resource Tools
September 2007 – CQL released its first issue of Quality in Practice, a resource tool for providers and staff with practical tips and suggestions for ways to improve quality. Recommendations were compiled by CQL staff from their experiences in meeting with people and visiting organizations across the country and seeing what works; a tangible demonstration of CQL’s knowledge sharing.
The Quality in Practice guides will be posted to the CQL website with a new guide added each month. The topics reflect many of the areas that CQL staff encounter within the organizations they visit – areas that typically present challenges to organizations. These guides are not meant to be all inclusive. They build on the content of the Quality Measures 2005 ® and Personal Outcome Measures ®, using practical, real-life examples and suggestions.
CQL’s new Data Quarterly Reports reflect CQL’s findings from its National Personal Outcomes Database – CQL’s repository for information gathered from interviews of people with disabilities across the country. These findings have been published in professional journals, delivered at national and international conferences, and reported to the field. CQL continues to ask those questions that will provide answers for the critical issues of ensuring the health, safety and welfare of the people served by human service systems, probing and uncovering how person-centered services and outcomes can be delivered more effectively.
