CQL 36th Annual Meeting
At its 36th annual meeting in Washington, D.C., CQL released new applications, including its Community Life SM initiative. Designed to begin a new dialogue with people with disabilities, families, professionals, and service providers, the initiative seeks to emphasize increasing quality of life for all citizens in their communities.
The meeting also introduced new resources that support the Community Life SM initiative: Basic Assurances ® Certification, the Social Capital Index ®, and Certified Quality Analyist program. The new applications build on the Quality Measures 2005 ®.
At an informal reception following the meeting, participants continued the celebration of CQL’s leadership in the journey toward a fully inclusive world. Participating in the meeting were representatives of CQL member organizations: American Association on Mental Retardation (AAMR), American Network of Community Options and Resources (ANCOR), The Arc, Autism Society of America, Brain Injury Association, Mosaic, National Association of QMRPs and United Cerebral Palsy Associations, Inc., and other invited guests from the national disability community.
