CQL President and CEO James F. Gardner, PhD has been
appointed to the Quality
Measurement/Key Indicators Workgroup of the Long-Term Quality Alliance
(LTQA). The workgroup is charged with
making recommendations to the LTQA board and members on how to advance
meaningful measurement by a broad spectrum of long-term providers and settings
of key person and family-centered quality indicators that are specific to
adults (Medicare beneficiaries) who require long-term services and supports and
are focused on the improvement of care transitions and the reduction of
avoidable hospitalizations.
The
mission of the LTQA is to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of care and
the quality of life of people receiving long-term services and supports by
fostering person- and family-centered quality measurement and advancing
innovative best practices to accelerate quality improvement
