The Council Awarded New Agreement with South Carolina
The Council is pleased to be awarded a new agreement with the state of South Carolina. Council and South Carolina DDSN staff have created an in-state team of Personal Outcome Measures experts known as the SCOPES Team. Over three years, this team has collected much information on the presence of Outcomes and Supports in the lives of South Carolina's citizens with disabilities. As we move into the fourth year, the project will take a new focus with new priorities. Council staff will work with the more than 80 state level staff to develop a common vision, clarification of values around person-centered service delivery, and an organization/systemwide support for outcomes in the lives of people with disabilities. Additionally, Council staff will develop an in-state system that supports 10-15 South Carolina professionals in ongoing reliability with the Personal Outcome Measures. Council and South Carolina SCOPES staff will develop in-state capacity to support providers in promoting outcomes in the lives of people through organizational assessment and change.
