Message from The President: Building a Community Bridge

Our 35th Anniversary year began in July 2004. This offers the opportunity to look back, but also, and more importantly, to look ahead – to construct the bridge to connect our traditions and accomplishments to a progressive and relevant agenda for the future. Self-Advocacy and Leadership

Having leadership skills can help with confidence, developing relationships, being proud, and feeling good about what you can accomplish. It can create a feeling of belonging to a community and contributing a meaningful idea to the discussion or cause.

Flooded with Opportunity

What appeared to be a devastating flood situation for Friendship Inc, became the first step in a journey towards community life.

The Council Conducts Pilots in Australia

The Council is engaged in several exciting pilots to demonstrate The Council's person-centered quality review process to assess the Victorian Disability Services Standards.

The Council Awarded New Agreement with South Carolina

Council and South Carolina DDSN staff have created an in-state team of Personal Outcome Measures experts known as the SCOPES Team. As we move into the fourth year, the project will take a new focus with new priorities.
