DDTI

In July, 2006 CQL and the Developmental Disabilities Training Institute of the Jordan Institute for Families in the School of Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, entered into a unique and groundbreaking agreement for training in North Carolina.

DDTI is well positioned to offer training of CQL’s personal outcome and support measures, having been instrumental in promoting values and strengths-based approaches to planning and supports for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in North Carolina for the past four decades. DDTI has a longstanding relationship with CQL, and maintains a demonstrated level of excellence in conducting training using the personal outcome measures. DDTI, in conjunction with CQL, has maintained certified trainers using this model for over ten years.
Through this agreement CQL grants DDTI a license to provide training of CQL’s Personal Outcome Measures ^®. DDTI will offer the following training models:

• Personal Outcomes Overview Training (1-day);
• In-depth training (3 and 4 day events) of Personal Outcomes and Supports.

These training events offer added value for organizations in North Carolina. First, through DDTI, NC organizations now have a local option for obtaining high quality, affordable, and easily accessible training related to CQL’s Personal Outcome Measures ^®. In addition, these events include the key values and principals of NC’s person-centered thinking training requirement, satisfying the 6-hour training requirement.

For CQL, this agreement marks the beginning of formalizing a network with many of our long time respected colleagues.
